The Legend Of Lambeau

He was born in Mississippi back in 1969,
He played football for his Dad at Hancock North Central High,
When it came time to pick a college to attend,
He went to Southern Mississippi in the end,
It became apparent that this quarterback was great,
When he beat Alabama and he beat Florida State,

Brett Favre, like no one else before,
All the Monday night memories that we have of number 4,
Brett Favre, he's a modern day hero,
He's destined for the Hall of Fame, he's the Legend of Lambeau,

He was drafted by the Falcons who then gave him away,
In the greatest trade ever made that brought him to Green Bay,
When the Magic man went down with an injury,
It started up a streak that will live in infamy,
All these seasons later, the statistics do not lie,
One Super Bowl, three MVPs, and a heart that will not die ...

True Blue

I was at the Alabama game in 1997,
When the goalposts came down, I was in Big Blue Heaven,
Tim Couch to Craig Yeast for the winning touchdown score,
Kicked off a celebration like I've never seen before,
But I recall the Peach Bowl in 1993,
When Pookie Jones almost led the Cats to victory,
If only we had held on to that intercepted throw,
Clemson would have never scored with seconds left to go,

True Blue, I still love the Wildcats,
True Blue, I still believe,
True Blue, I've been there through the heartbreak,
And I'll be there when we win the SEC,

I made the trip to Papa John's in 1998,
To watch the Air Raid crush the Cards and watch them dominate,
In a record setting year when we finally reached our goal,
To play on New Year's Day in the Outback Bowl,
But I recall a bitter loss that was awfully tough,
When 7 interceptions weren't quite enough,
Cause Florida's Doering caught the ball on the final play,
To give the game to Spurrier and take our win away,

I remember our success in 1984,
With a Hall of Fame Bowl win by a 20-19 score,
We beat Wisconsin there to cap off a 9 win year,
Back when Jerry Claiborne and Bill Ransdell were here,
I was at Commonwealth in 2002,
When we thought Lorenzen had beaten LSU,
There stood Guy Morris doused in Gatorade,
Looking at the craziest Hail Mary ever made,

I endured a game that lasted half the night,
When we battled Arkansas in an epic fight,
I recall the devastation after 7 overtimes,
When we came up inches short at the goal line,
I've stayed here all the times that our program has been down,
And I've watched Rich Brooks turn this thing around,
Cause I still believe and I can't wait to see,
The Big Blue in the BCS, how sweet it's going to be ...

Ballad Of The Bengals

Deep in a darkened corner of a Paul Brown locker room,
Bill Cowher turned to Dick Lebeau and asked what can we do,
I fear this team is loaded and too good for us this time,
We've got to find a volunteer to take out number 9,
Then Kimo the old heffer stood and said, I've got a plan,
I might be slow and not so good but I'll do what I can,
The next thing we remember was his slow pathetic crawl,
A good 2 seconds after Carson Palmer threw that ball,

We say Who Dey, They say We Dey, We say no way, not again,
Cause a new day is upon us, Cincinnati's gonna win,
This year they'll be sitting in the cold Steel City snow,
Watching Bengals in the desert playing in the Super Bowl,

I can't wait to see the frightened look in Big Ben's eyes,
When Peko orders up a Roethlisberger with some fries,
He'll turn in vain looking for the Bus to bail him out,
Then Justin Smith will show him what true pain is all about,
Landon Johnson, Jumpy Geathers, and John Thornton will attack,
With Deltha, J-Jo, Dexter, and Madeiu at their back,
When he goes across the middle, one big hit will erase,
That annoying smile right off of Hines Ward's face,

Steelers cannot dance, so Chad will show them how,
While TJ shines his shoes with their not so Terrible Towel,
As Casey Hampton staggers off after he's been wrecked,
By Bobbie, Willie, Whitworth, Levi, and Ghiaciuc,
Run Rudi in the red zone cause he'll always punch it through,
And plus we get to see him flatten Polamalu too,
We'll rock the Jungle crazy like we never have before,
When Carson Palmer throws another perfect touchdown score ...
